Which bills can I use?

Standard PDFs, PDFs with an embedded e-invoice, XRechnung XML, photos and scans. For photos and scans, accuracy depends on image quality. Check the extracted details.

What do I get when I pay?

One PDF with your refund calculation, prepared application details, a bill summary and a filing guide. Your tax adviser can use the details to complete the application in the customs portal. Official forms are not automatically filled in or submitted. Keep your original bills separately.

What does my tax adviser still need to do?

Your tax adviser checks the details and eligibility requirements, adds any missing information and submits the application. You can also do this yourself. truhe does not provide tax advice or guarantee a refund. The responsible authority decides on your claim.

What about natural gas and heating oil?

Eligible businesses may qualify for electricity tax relief under § 9b StromStG and energy tax relief on natural gas and heating oil under § 54 EnergieStG. truhe calculates the potential amount from the details you confirm.

When is the deadline for a 2025 claim?

The standard deadline is 31 December 2026. Your local main customs office must receive your application for the 2025 consumption year by that date. Checking your bill with truhe does not submit a claim: you or your tax adviser still need to apply. Different deadlines may apply in special cases. Legal basis: § 17b StromStV and § 100 EnergieStV.

What happens to my data?

Your bill, calculation and paperwork stay on your phone or computer. Only the details needed for an order are sent to us when you buy. You decide when and with whom to share the finished PDF.
